An awkward L- shaped bungalow with elderly owners this garden had to be easy to move around, low maintenance and look good all year round from the many windows. We created a circular journey making the most of the suns trajectory with places to pause for morning coffee under an arbour or a sundowner under an archway.  Focal points include a water bowl for contemplation with a native water lily and a sculpture viewed from the dining table. The garden is both enjoyed outside and from within. The clients were keen to keep the existing patio and to extend using stone setts that complement the Cotswold stone walls. They are also are avid birdwatchers and so the planting provides berries and winter seed heads with new trees and climbers to clothe the walls for nesting opportunities.
