A north facing townhouse with a fabulous view on to an Oxford college playing field . The tired lawn and shrubs needed to be redesigned to adapt to the clients’ changing needs. In particular a raised terrace made the garden more accessible from the patio doors bringing the house and garden together and greatly increasing the ease of access. A formal central lawn is surrounded by mixed perennial planting and a third area beyond includes a sunny terrace and additional layered perennial and shrub planting . The whole garden sits very comfortably in the location and can now be easily enjoyed by the clients everyday with both sunny and shady places to sit surrounded by planting that looks fabulous all year round.
