LAURA BURT GARDEN & LANDSCAPE DESIGN
The Nature Effect
People, plants, places and Community
As a director of The Nature Effect over the last three years we have been developing nature spaces in Oxford. I head up the design element of the Community Interest Company to deliver natural landscapes and planting in the community including St Francis Primary School and St Nicholas Primary School, NaturEscape in Florence Park, institutions such as Bullingdon Prison and museums such as The Story Museum. Below are some of our completed projects and visuals. Our current project is designing a garden for the substance free living wing of the Bullingdon Prison, Bicester.

Kate's Place
Our first design project was NaturEscape by Kate Jury our talented and inspirational former co-director. In her memory we have renamed this wonderful nature landscape in Florence Park, Oxford, Kate's Place. Family, friends and colleagues have all contributed to a legacy fund which has been carrying out improvements including a new pond, path, bug hotel and much more. Going forward and in her memory the community can continue to thrive and so many can benefit from her vision for people and nature.
